Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one of the most common and effective psychotherapeutic methods nowadays.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a mixture of two therapeutic methods: behavioral and cognitive. CBT is based on the hypothesis that beliefs and thoughts of an individual can affect their mood and behavior. CBT aims to develop healthy and adaptable behavior in a person. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is mainly used for individual sessions but is also effective for group sessions.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is generally recommended once a week. The duration of a session is 1 hour. The length of the therapeutic course is individual for each case, mostly 6-12 sessions. It depends on the type and gravity of the problem, external factors and also characteristic features of the patient.
